1 month and 11 days

Well, much like the last post, I thankfully have nothing to report!
Everything is going good and I don't have one compliant... so far.
Anyway, everything is kinda calming down in my life (as much as it can, there is always a million things going on), so I'm pretty content with everything.

Like I have said in every post, I really hope this turns into a success story that doesn't scare the crap out of ladies considering it. I'm actually getting quite a few readers now, so at least the info is getting out there!

Oh and I have to include a shameless plug... I have another blog about the stuff I sew and how I taught myself to sew! If by chance you not only like reading about Implanon but also sewing adventures, take a look at it! After creating this blog, I had to do another. It's addictive.

  1. Hi
I have been reading your blog, I have an appt on Oct 14 to get the Implanon, I don't know if they are going to insert it that day or not, I hope so. I'am nervous about it, but i'am tired of getting refills of the pill, it would be nice not to have to. I have been on the Pill for so long, I was always to scared to try something new, mostly because I don't trust anything. I will tkae the plunge though and try the Implanon

  2. Good Luck! I hope it works out for you. I had a consultation first then had to make another appt for the actual procedure but every doc is different.
Let me know how it goes!

  3. Yes I will definitely keep you posted on how it goes. I usually don't have side effects to most anything I take. Birth control pills work fine for me, no side effects at all, but i 'am tired of having to get refills. I'am hoping I will be one of the few that does not have the side effects on the Implanon. Will update you as soon as I have my appt on Oct 14.

  4. Hi Kim, I have not seen an update from you since Oct 5. I went to see the Doctor on Oct 14, I decided not to get the Implanon, I instead got the Depo-Provera shot, which is also a Progestin only birth control that lasts 3 months (12 weeks). It works like the Implanon, but is not an implant, it is a shot into your hip muscle. So far I feel fine, no visible side effects on it. Just wanted to update you.

  5. Hey Gladys
Well I am glad you found a bc that is working for you so far. I thought about Depo too but the fact that it stays in your system for 3 months scared me! But, I really hope it works for you!
Sorry about not updating, I just don't have anything to update! It's going great and I have no complaints.
Anyway, let me know how Depo works for you. It would be nice too hear a good story about Depo. I'm sure it has a better success rate than the stuff on the internet says. More power to you!
